It was a sunny Tuesday morning in MontaBel when Max noticed his football was gone. He'd left it right by the fountain - he was sure of it.

"Leo!" he called across the square. "Someone's taken my football!"

Leo came running, curly hair bouncing. Bo the dog arrived too, tail wagging. Dogs always know when something interesting is happening.

Bo sniffed the cobblestones. Then he bounded off toward the school - and stopped at the big oak tree in the playground.

There, high up in the branches, was the football. The wind must have blown it up during the storm!

"We need help," said Leo, and grinned. "Time to visit firefighter Oscar."
